Important Notice: Introduction of Cancellation Fee at Utopia Plates

Dear valued customers,

We are always striving to provide the best service possible here at Utopia Plates, and a part of that involves maintaining a clear and open line of communication with all of you. In line with that principle, we have an important update that we wish to share with you today regarding our cancellation policy.

Effective immediately, Utopia Plates will be implementing a cancellation fee for all orders. This fee will be £5.00 per number plate on an order solely containing number plates, or will be equal to the total sum of the Administration Fee on an order containing a private registration, and will apply to any cancellation initiated by the customer. We understand that circumstances can change and sometimes you may need to cancel an order. However, we believe that it is important to introduce this fee to cover the costs that we incur during the transaction process.

To provide some context, every transaction made through our payment processors, such as Clearpay, Klarna, or PayPal, incurs a fee. Even when we refund a transaction due to a cancellation, these fees are not returned to us. As a business, it is not sustainable nor fair for us to bear these costs when a cancellation is initiated by the customer.

We would like to clarify that the cancellation fee may be waived in certain situations, but that will be at our discretion. Each case will be considered individually, and we will always strive to be as fair and accommodating as we can.
